Is the Use of Technology Making Us That Lazy?

Ok folks, here's what's really being on my mind lately, and I figure I'm in need of your invaluable inputs on. In fact, to admit, this is something that has been on my mind for a while now.  Here's it:

1. Is the ability of humans to think for themselves seriously deteriorating, because we are increasingly reliant on technology to solve problems?

2. OR, to what extent is technology undermining our use of mental abilities that are essential or necessary for thinking for ourselves?

Kindly share your thoughts.

No, our ability to think for ourselves is not “seriously deteriorating.” We still have and will always have this natural gift from our Creator. What has happened is that we have relegated our ability to think for ourselves to Science and Technology. We have written computer programs to do our “thinking” for us and unfortunately, we did not, could not, and cannot put in in all of the “ifs” – that part of computer programming where we tell the program to branch of, perform another task and continue. We cannot put in all the “ifs” because we are dealing with nature that is so unpredictable.

OR, to what extent is technology undermining our use of mental abilities that are essential or necessary for thinking for ourselves?

This will continue for as long as we continue to relegate all of our ability to think for ourselves to Science and Technology.
I can give you some examples for my input for 1 and 2 above if you so desire.

  2. Every human will think on solution(s),if the solution is right around, than there is no need to go through suffering....... On another hand, it is not very good to totally depend on technology because it fails individual and will greatly fail the entire world one day.

  4. In the last half of the 20th century it was President Kennedy who took up the gauntlet of outlining a national directive focusing on science and technology. The course that the United States chartered then propelled America into the space age. No longer was man confined to this planet alone. best app to spy the camera

  7. The usage of CCTV camera has emerged as one of the most effective, widely used and advanced surveillance method in the past few decades. There are many reasons why this has emerged as one of the top most security measures - however, it is important to mention here that the decrease in price of these cameras has encouraged more house owners and business owners to take this up as a major surveillance method. ติดตั้งกล้องวงจรปิด
